I reckon the NS team would probably do it. Most of the major mods would be updated to the source engine I predict.

From what I hear, NS is over when 3.0 goes final.
I assume someone'll get permission to make a source engine port, or similar mods will spring up.

they said they arn't updating it for source but I'm sure they'd change their mind and try and sell it as a game using the source engine
