i need to know where to place the wad file in cs 1.6 so the will read when i compile my map oh ya and where do i place my extracted .gcf cstrike files? :zonked:

i really need this info. it's 8:41am hawaii time and i need to catch a plane at 12:00pm and i really wanted to complete my map before i left. could you guys be a cool dudes and help?

Doesnt matter, since the game already has your GCF to look in.
i need to know where to place the wad file in cs 1.6
steamapps/counter-strike/cstrike works, just like in 1.5

Don't extract files from the GCF into Steam directories, all it'll do is increase load times.
