...ok...ok....my hammer has been screwing up in so many different ways lately.....first it wouldnt view in 3D (plain black screen), then it wouldnt load a wad file (just crash) then it wouldnt open....then it would LAG like hell....and so on.....but here is what I need help on. whenever I try to load a map it just says it expeiriences a problem and will need to shutdown.......DAMN!!!!! any one knows my problem please Help Me as quick as possible.....and yes I have tried re-installing it....it is version 3.4.......thanx... :(

Update your graphics card drivers, update DirectX (9.0c is out now).

umm reinstall hammer if it continues to say problems and then closes it cause its either now corrupted or well u no what im going to say

so check ur graphics card spec then check computer needs where u downloaded hammer from should say what u need!!! :)

no my video card is a radeon 9600 which is good....hmmmm...still confused...perhaps I will try to update my drivers + see that new Direct X...thanx for your help guys I really appreciate it :)

make sure u have the uptodate drivers for ur gfx notice u got an ati summit or the other, had problems a while ago both with steam and hammer a back up and a format fixed it.

Also, for future reference, to remove that stupid invasive error-reporting 'function' (remove the first 'n'):

1. Control Panel
2. System
3. 'Advanced' tab
4. 'Error Reporting' button at the bottom
