i am using loads of ambient_generics but i noticed that they stopped working halfway through the map

so i was wondering if there is a limit to the amount of ambient_generics u can use :

ok i found the problem

it seems you cant use ambient_generic to play long songs so what do i use instead? :D

The long-song-middle-stop problem is caused by converting using SoundRecorder(Sndrec32.exe). Use DBpoweramp (google) instead, its alot better too.

u got the wrong idea i guess it was my fault i didnt explain it right

ok i hav a number of noses and sounds a songs, they are all converted into.wav by cool edit 2000 now i hav triggered them and they work but sum of them work and i realise that the ones that dont work are longer than 30 secnds so they dont seem to play at all

now what entity do i use to make it play long .wav ;)

You probably can't then. You'll have to use multiple ambient_generics.

i dont have any problem playin 4min. songs. i use sony sound forge 7.0 i take my wave files and convert them to the crappiest of everything but still good enough to understand. :) ;)
