All the files Hammer needs are stored in your Steam directory in files called GCF caches. You need to get a program called GCFscape, locate your Steam directory and extract the necessary files with GCFscape.

You should then be able to load them up in Hammer.

Do you want me to change back or??? ;)

Does anyone know how to run the map after the compile?

I'd set it up to run a batch file. You can have a stab at it but it's probably not worth it.

Try running it through Steam with whatever Steam's equivalent is to "Multiplayer/Lan Game/Create Game" is.

u can also load a map from the consal (~) jus type map thenthemapname and then the map will auto load if the map is in the cstrike/maps folder or hl folder depending on what mod u r useing

To launch the game you want from steam at the end of the compile...
Instead of -game, you use -applaunch ##
And for a mod -applaunch ## -game ***

List of applaunches is...
10 : CS
20 : TFC
30 : DoD
40 : DMC
50 : OpFor
60 : Ricochet
70 : HL
80 : CS:CZ

So a mod would be like this example...

-applaunch 70 -game Sven Coop
