Hey all. I was wondering if any of you know how to make good textures without using photos? Like im sure they didn't use a photo to make the main textures in the first place? (btw I have both photoshop and paint shop pro 8) I'm sure with one of these you can do it but after hours of mukin around I still can't even make something look metal .

It's a lot of practice really. You've got to fiddle around with PSP special effects and that. It takes a lot of time and effort really.

o yea if u make a really good picture it wont show that good in game becuase then u make it a wad it uses pixels that make picture choppy

wad 2bmp doesnt that make the texture better quality and i know there is away to make kick but textures from photos ive seen it done in the level d4ms a shogun level which by my standards is the best level ive seen for hl yet !!!!!
