Jesus loves you, join the Navy.

Sounds like a cool idea, try to make the houses proportioned fairly good (don't make them mansion-sized with 3 rooms, a-la cs_estate). Drivable cars maybe? If you want to spac the 2 houses far away drivavble cars would be cool.

If they decide to escape...

I have a question and an idea.... my question is (sry for adding a question on your thread but i always get complainnts for god knows why...) how do you make a car that actually moves? i've seen tutorials but i cant telll wat they are saying i saw about 3 of them. My idea is you should add syrins! and putt like hidden guns in cabinets and stuff! and they fight back to the cops! and I'm just sayin but... you should make it into a mod and get tons of levels and get a model of a cop and make some handcuffs for the cops so they can catch criminals!! ;)

Damn mapper_man, you don't know how to make movable cars? DANG YOUR---No im friggin kidding....When you make the vehicle, put an origin brush all over the vehicle, then select all of the things inside the origin, including the origin, and bind it to func_vehicle

Looks like this:
_____________
| ----<Vehicle |
|____________|<<Origin

Y'know, you can't do ASCII art like that very well in these forum posts.

The vehicle is a func_vehicle and func_vehiclecontrols entity. The origin goes in the center of the func_vehicle, controls go where you want the player to be in order to drive it.

Oh, and CS only.

Idd, and www.slackiller.com , all of which are very easy to follow if you go step by step.

And this sounds like it'd be hard to make it look good unless you are quite a good mapper, as creating a road in a forest isn't gonna be easy, think about the trees, the ambience, I say have the road sunken down into a small "ditch", and have trees hanging over teh road, so you can let some sunlight through. Get de_predator.wad (csbanana - google it) to get a great couple of textures for a forest canopy.

The houses should be at right angles to each other, and have them on opposite sides of the road, and allow the CT's to approach the house from.. say.. a "sewer" or a river; you could even have one of the houses have a big spinning water wheel type thing, not 100% original, but would look nice.

Yeah, I have no more ideas. Bye!.
