The only people that arn't bummed out about it are the ones who are not going to get it. HL2 had been delayed over a year. I am going to be looking forward to Halo 2 - I don't even understand what was wrong with the contract between them though...

i want to make the delicious water, mirrors, use cool wads that valve used, and try out new scaring techniques with the new monsters
e.g. have one of those fast zombies in a vent or something (ok bad example)

I dont know if that statement will do anything. Theres alot of hl2 related stuff going around that tells me that it will becoming out in November. If PC Gamer Mag reviewed the game that means that its release is not far away.

im gonna map a block then try out water, wood etc
then i do my favourite bit where i make loads of monsters and loads of allies vs each other in a 2 day royal
i put every weapon on floor and have loads of sounds etc play make loads of sharp stuff to pick up and throw and zombies to kill them and have fans that chop them up!!!

Well i cant say really Working for Last great war :)....but i might update Balins tomb to hl2 and make detailed by adding some others areas.. ive already made one of the pillers from the great hall (made ages ago .. like 9 of em kills half-life hehehe)

Well yes, I am hoping that with half life 2 I will get that spark of excitement again and that I will go insane mapping. Part of the reason that I got bored of mapping is because I did it so much. I was mapping like 4 hours a day!

Nah, you have to buy HL: Source and DoD: Source seperately or in the packages afaik, it's not like the deal with HL you can download any games.

yeah what he said, anyho, i want to map the last bit in halo where you have to excape the ring in the warhog, except i will make it like 5 times harder, AND with a CUT SCENE! I hope the camara is a lot less bugy then before : read down for more details about map.
You start out with a shot gun, and take a vehical inside those inside parking lots. You drive and a cut scene shows a bomb counting down from 3 to 0, and then it blows up. It goes back to normal view, and you drive until something infront of you blows up, and something falls blocking your way. You swerve to the right (or else you die) and more bombs keep blowing the damn place apart. When you get outside, you go on a bridge, but right when your on the bigining of the bridge, part of it blows up, so you fall... thats all i got, i made this up on the spot :

Anyway, I plan to get the full use out of vehicles myself when it comes out. I just got some crazy idea's that I wish I could do, but I don't even know if half life 2 can do this. Make like 3 battle mechs and a shitload of tanks and stuff and the tanks have to destroy the battle mechs!!! OK, actually I just based that off the idea of have a truck, with a hugeass laser gun mounted on the top of it that can destroy anything with it. And then and then... It blows up! And you have go to the side of the road and repair it! And one you repair it you disover you cannot lift it back up to the top so then you have to run over to a crane, drive it over there, and put the laser gun back on the top of the vehicle. You drive the crane back, and run all the way back to your vehicle with the bigass gun on the top of it.... You know what forget it, but your going to see some cool vehicle maps from me.
