How do you know that. Have you actually played the games or do you have some kind of magical powers that allow you to judgements on things that haven't occured yet.

Halo stole it's name from HalfLife, and they used aliens and it sucked.

Worst game ever imho. The multiplayer sucked, teh vehicles sucked, the weapons sucked, teh story sucked, on teh whole.. it sucked.

Screw Halo.

Well that's just my opinion, but I think FPS's on consoles suck in general.

I liked Halo for it's intense combat, it's athmosphere and it's storyline. One thing I still remember was the introduction to 'The horse we rode in on'... that music, that athmosphere was done really good.

What I didn't really liked the overall level design, it looked to bland for me, and after a while the amount of aliens got a bit too much.

But overall, I found it to be a nice game to play.

Just because it isn't Half-Life doesn't mean I don't like it, you know...

I didn't like it for all those reasons ^ and the fact console FPS's are very weak.

I never played it on the PC, did it even come out on teh PC?!

The whole game was very bland, they spent too much time advertising it, and not enought time making it.

It was ported to the PC, although not a really good port in my opinion.

Indeed, it lacked detail and finesse, but the action was pretty good. The vehicles and weaponry also did appeal to me.
I found replayability to be too low, playing on hard became a bit too hard and rather annoying because I felt only adding to the enemies hitpoints and throwing in some more of them doesn't make things that more interesting or rewarding. Smarter enemies would've been better imho.

I liked it, but after having it finished twice or more it became boring. Never really played multiplayer though...

Meh.

My friends are all like "Omg look at Halo 2 graphics!" at school during IT. Then I showed them HL2.....

Imagine what we'll be seeing when the community gets their hands on it, and starts applying the same ingenuity to HL2 that they did to HL1 =D

GearBox made it nad thats why it looks so similar to Half-Life. I liked it. If Halo 2 comes on PC it will be great.

Gearbox only did the PC version of the game, the original X-Box one was made by Bungie. I don't see how Gearbox being the PC porter would have affected the game's style :

most of you seem to be judging halo and halo 2 based on half life 2. alot of those reasons PaLO gave were really complete bollocks. for starters, the weapons were pretty well balanced, and some were quite unique (like the needler). the multiplayer was bloody amazing, as i would know after sitting down almost every friday night for a 16 player redvblue team CTF. and i dont see how they stole the name from half life. maybe the name "halo" has something to do with the halo-like object that has oh-so much to do with the storyline? and please, dont start on the story. ive already heard arguments against the story from people who havent played it. most of the time they go on about robots fighting aliens for a hoop-shaped space station.
the vehicles were alot like the weapons, i.e unique and balanced. there, that covers everything.

just one more thing. halo was ported to the PC, but unfortunately gearbox forgot something about console-PC ports. you should try making the graphics better . or at least as good as the console graphics.

I think Half Life 2 is going to be better, but I am not downing Halo 2. Halo is a fun game, I don't see how you can reasonably say it isn't, but Half Life 2 is setting new grounds to the gaming industry, Halo 2 is not. Halo 2's graphics aren't going to be near HL2.

it depends what kind of fps you go for

i like atmosphere in a game thats why i like doom3, halo, and i fink theres a thrid game like that that i have played......

but most of my mates like the kind of point and pull kinda games
such as ut 2004 and cs:s, and mabye hl2

Halo 2 is going to be a really cool game, personally i am stoked, just one day and it will be out. I also like hl1 and 2 but halo 2 should be just as good, the multiplayer is supposed to have up to 4 players on 1 xbox, and there will be organized clans with there own website on the xbox site! All around it sounds pretty cool and i am excited to see the story line, cuz i liked halo 1 story line. Halflife 2 also kicks ass though.

only good thing in halo is vehicles...i didn't get anything else out of it besides 500 noob servers with rocket launchers.

Meh, the buggy isn't that great (least not in the leak, which of course is about a year old) imho... Halos vehicles were very good, yeah.

i do think half life 2 will be good, but im alot more excited about halo 2. one thing that perks me up about halo 2 is the coop. co-op in the original halo always opened up different ways of approaching stiuations, and halo 2 is supposed to have even more features in co-op.
