For people who've pre-ordered. I've not, only pre-loaded, then gunna unlock it with the code on the retail box as a) my dad won't buy it, and b) I don't trust Steam.

well i preloaded it so now i have to wait till hl2 comes out i guess well cs:s is cool i guess and steam arnt very trustworthy i admit as for example you preload all games, you purchase the silver deal for instance, it downloads onto your computer but if you lose your account then you have to buy it again as they dont give a CD!

what happens if you indeed have the cd and somehow lose your account?

i bet they want you to sent them the original package like with HL1.. and that won't be so fun for people like me, who live across the atlantic.

The SDK isn't great - The VMT selection is horrid, since there's only texes included for the default levels, and the prop model selection isn't great either.
