man love the game but damn i can barely play it at parts low fps (10) I reformatted the comp specially for this game it has decent speed [2.3]ghz, 768 mb ram and my vid card is 9600 xt even on 800x 640 it drops down to like 10fps second (im in antlion coast level)just wondering if any one else experiencing same problems cant afford the x800 $700 bucks cad

Never played HL2 but in CS:S ive got 30-50fps ( 1024*768 and all thingies full )

maybe you should lower your details settings or something. doesn't make sense to me.

i have 2.4 Ghz, 512mb DDRram and geforce 4 mx 440 128 mb.
i have an average of 111 fps. i run at 800x600 with details on medium

X800 XT (watercooled 'n' overclocked! 600 core/625[1.250 effective] mem), P4EE 5GhZ (overclocked 'n' sub cooled ;D), 1024mb RAM. And HL2 is flying ;D I run at a modest 1024x768 with world reflection, 4x AA and 8x AF. This is what I fantasise about

yah i got all the new drivers 4.1.1.2 catalyst made specially for hl2
and ati cards are supposedly running better on hl2 then the nvidia cuz ati was workin hand in hand but still iget to parts with lots of stuff and drops to 15 -10 fps like i have 50fps in part sometimes even goes up to 80's but as soon as open spaces with stuff hit 10-15 start to occur

I have to say that i'm surprised at how well the game plays, I thought it would be like Doom3. i have about 25fps running on 640x480 in Doom:P

Miss the shaders though.. i'll have to wait 'till after christmas before i can buy a better G-card..

Mine got a li'l jerky when I was (remembers that not everyone's finished it) someplace. Uh, yeah. Big open bit, didn't count it, but was verging on unplayable. Fine everywhere else though.
