I dont know about you lot, But Iv been having major problems with the new hammer, It runs slowly so that it is hardly possible to do anything + I'm having problems creating entitys (no error message just nothing is created)
If anyone could help it would be much apreciated.

I have a fairly respectable computer (256 Mb) memory, 2.6ghz Processor. I pretty sure it does run fine normally as I have used it before but I had to un-install it due to a cache error. I'm sure its something wrong with the actuel program.

256mb? its the recomended level, but you really should aim higher. ive got 1024mb (1gb) sitting in this old crate, and i find almost everything runs alot faster. however, i have noticed hammer 4 goes slow if your have a p2p program running at the same time. use something like winamp for music.

To be honest if 4.0 didnt run slower then 3.4 something would be very wrong.

Put it this way, 1.6 takes longer to load then 1.5, cz longer then 1.6 and with source i can go take a nap and come back to only wait for the loading to finish.
