i recently setup Hammer Editor and set it to run Half-Life through the Steam directories. i set hammer to place compiled maps in

"C:GamesValveSteamSteamAppsemail@xxxxxx.comhalf
lifevalvemaps"

before running them with F9 as was said in the setup guide. however it still tells me that it cannot find the map when it goes to load it. i also tried placing it in the mod directories such as

"C:GamesValveSteamSteamAppsemail@xxxxxx.comteam fortress classictfcmaps"

but yet it still won't run. any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try runnning it from the console : map mapnamehere , ore did you looked if it is a dm map, then there should be a map name under the host-games menu.
