Is there supposed to be a NULL texture somewhere by default because there isn't one in Half-Life.wad or Xeno.wad. If it isn't a texture but merely a texturless face then I have another question. Why isn't it fixing my r_speeds? I tested the NULL example 2 and the nulls ingame were the pink/black checkerboard that shows whenever a texture isn't found in a wad. The second bookcase had the same r_speeds as the first but the reame said the second should have about one third of te first.

One cannot have an untextured face.

It discards the face.

Ingame it will appear as the void right?

No, it will just simply be invisible - if you put it on say, the top of a box, you'll see straight through it from the top.

You can make some cool looking effects with it, combining it with opaqe brushes and the void.

can u use the null textue to fix a map with a leak without jeopradising r_speeds by placing a box around the whole map?

and also, where can i find the ZHLT.wad?

You get ZHLT.wad from Zoner's Half-Life compile tools. It comes with the download.

No - does exactly the same as Skyboxing. Nasty - but its ok to use null textured brushes to Patch leaks ;)
