How do you make custom sentences in Half Life 2? Is it the same as in HL1?

No. I can tell you that much, but I can't say I know how it is done :).

I don't think it's that similar though, pretty sure that information is encoded into the sound itself and the sounds can be directly 'spoken'.

Yeah, you have to set it up in Faceposer.

Check teh SDK Docs.

I found a good tutorial for faceposer, thanks guys! Too bad faceposer is buggy...
