Hey all,

I've Just started making maps and im stuck...im want to know how to make and arched doorway like the ones in dust..if someone could make and example .rmf for me to look at or explain it very simpley (im easily confused lol) that would be great

Anyhelp Would Be Much Appreciated

If you go onto the brush tool and look down at the area where there's the entity list when you're using the appropriate tool, change "block" or "cuboid" (can't remember which it's labelled) to 'arch', I believe.

yea ive done that but i cant seem to get the hand of using the arch tool and wen i finally do it looks stupid :/

another way would be to use VM. check the vertex manipulation tutorials. dont worry, its not as hard as it seems. to be honest, its darned simple.

The easiest way to get a perfect arch is to make sure the cube you draw out for the arch tool is perfectly square (Ie, the same dimension on each side.)

I tend to use the Arch tool as a reference, and then build all my geometry in VM

The arch tool is good, but not great - you get "cleaner" vertexssszz with VM ;)
