error for lan on mods

wenever i try to start a lan game to test maps or to just play them it freezes before i even get to choose create game, this happens with all my mods but i mostly use CS, any help?

uh maby your fire wall i had that problem to with al mods including hl itself

yeh i am using zonealarm and i think it started wen i installed tht (it has a firewall) but i want to keep my puter protected but still play cs, ill try 'run: sierra/counterstrike/cstrike.exe +map <mapname>' thanx

you need the mod o both computers if that helps.(if your trying to load it on two computers over a lan)

uninstall zonealarm ore turn it off when you play half-life i had that to so... thats the only solution cause it always get stuck when you run a map :

ok i have hl working, i got past the error on cs, but.... there is another problem, does anyone know how to fix the error when it loads up... 'server is enforcing file consistency for models/player/urban/urban.mdl' then it just sits there, plz help!!! ive tried everything!!!!

Let's see... I'm using XP-built in firewall, PC-cillin and my ISP firewall.
That's three. Where to get a firewall. Have you checked the cd that came with your mother board? There are usually some extra programs there.
