Hi every1! I just logged in the first time and i got a really stupid
problem... :(

I'm a starting mapper, i read your tutorials, started working on my first CS map... everything OK.. until i added ambient_generics in my map. :

The compiling was allright, but the map itself doesn't run.. When the map starts loading the console writes unable to find sound/c!

I tried to fix the entity, but it still didnt work, and i used sounds from the ambience folder. I mean the waws cant be wrong when they work on other maps!

Can anyone tel me what to do? Im desparate! my maps will be soundles!!!!!! :zonked:

there is no sound is original hl or cs named "c", so it must be wrong.

What sound is it?

Never browse for wav files, just add the folder name + the wav file. In your case:

ambience/boomer.wav

Add that line into your ambient_generic propties, under WAV.

I forgot to say this:

If that sound file is custom, make sure you send that wav with the map, if you're gonna give to other people. If it is a standard CS wav, you don't have to send the wav with the map.
