GCFSCAPE!

Open half-life.GCF and extract all of the models. Easy!
And to get rid of any confusion, I will post this three times!
Runtimes: (Required)

.NET Framework v1.1 (23,698 KB Executable) - GCFScape is written in C++ .NET and as such requires the .NET runtime to run.

To be more specific, extract the models to <Steam directory/where Steam.exe lives>SteamApps<your email>half-lifevalve. Just extract the whole models folder.

I used wally, opened up the pak file, and extracted it to my c:sierrahalf-lifevalve directory

Use Pakscape (no installation required).
  • Open up Pakscape.
  • Go to your Half-Life/valve folder and open pak0.pak
  • Once inside the pak, go to the models folder and select (CTRL-A) all model files. Then copy (CTRL-C) and paste it in your Half-Life/valve/models folder on your hard drive.
Done.

PS: you have to keep Pakscape open when you copy/paste the model files. If you close pakscape after you copied the files, you might lose the copy.

Don't bother with GFC scape, you have to download some extra windows patch or something with it, google Jeds Half Life Model Viewer, that can open both paks and gfcs.

And your probably going to get Steam sooner or later, sorry to break it to you.

Damn. The Collective site is full of dead links all over the place. Crap.

Anyway, esmajor, why so many fgd's? You only need one.

Not sure what versions of the HL FGD you're using there, but you need this FGD for model support. I'm 100% sure that this FGD works.
