Whenever I try to open a BSP with VHE nothing is on the map except the map name is the name of the file

Loque VHE = Valve Hammer Editor :D CHAMONE CHECK CHECK THE MONE u silly child :D and sometimes when u decompile a map from .bsp to something else u get many errors and its not good. Rebel Shuttle are u intending to copy a map CAUSE I HATE FU***RS WHO COPY MAPS u prob arnt anyway good luck BO SELECTA ... KEZ SHUT UP YA BAS**RD!!

idiot. u dont tell him that we dont like thieves then we can c if he is a thief. u cant look at bsp's using hammer. just look at the map ingame using noclip. satisfies me.

you can't open .bsp files with hammer. .bsp files are the finished, compiled map. decompiling is very ineffective. if u need some example maps there are a bunch in the map vault. make sure the map u want comes with the .rmf file. those are the uncompiled "source" maps. those are the ones u can open in hammer and edit and look at.

Why does everyone try to decompile these days? What's wrong looking in a tutorial, that someone has written for others? Or why not post a forum post on how it's done. Do everything in your power to solve the issue without using decompiling. Decompiling should only be used as a last resort. Might not be the appropriate forum but what the hill. :cool:

Just as a point, if anyone asks me in an email or something to tell me how something was done, or give them a texture i've made, i'd be more than glad to give...

this is something people are afraid of... just ask, you'll have a clear consciense, and what you wanted
