I have a question for all you guys ...can you make an osprey follow a scripted sequence like other monsters?if not can you provide with an alternative?

I tried it but (i need the osprey to carry the player to a location an land ) when it starts the map the osprey vanishes and the player falls ....

suggestions?

Make an osprey from solids! Highlander made one already. :)

Well it's impossible to make an osprey carry the player, if it's non-solid, but you CAN make an invisible hollowed cube the size of the area that the player can be in, turn it to a func_train and make it follow the same path_coners as the osprey and place the player in it. This might have problems, though, because the osprey rotates both in Z and X Y axis, so it might look pretty unrealistic.
This way - you'd have to spend lots of time tweaking, etc, so the best way to do it would be using an osprey prefab, like Elon said.. :)

Well - you have to Fake it like in OpForce.

Built the inside of the osprey with brushes, Fade in and out for "Getting on, and getting off" and when the osprey takes off, use the animation of the model. (I assume you have OpForce?)

i have op force but when i tried to get the prefab they did i could't find it the map, just like the train in hl....gess it spawns at the beginning....
as for the non-solid part....the osprey is solid....when i tick the prisonierr flag you can climb in.....an the brush highlander did...it has several entitys, so they can not be used as a func train..... :zonked:

Which entities? Instead of light entities use texture lights and doors turn them to func_trains and the osprey move like an elevator with doors. :)
