Whats the difference when you compile a map and put it to fast vis? I dont see any change in the map. My normal VIS takes 15 minutes, where as Fast Vis takes 10 seconds. Whats the difference?

for final compile, you should definately compile with full vis, although fast vis should be fine for stage compiling - however, what you will notice is that with fast vis, light 'beams' and shadows are harsh lines, which if lighting plays a key part in your map - which it should, you should take into account everything to do with this.

VIS stands for visibility. It calculates whats visible and whats not by the player. Fast vis will do a quick job on those and thus more is drawn, causing higher r_speeds.

Full vis is of course only used for final compiles.

Thanks. Ive been using Fastvis for testing my map when its not done. I have not added any advanced lighting in it yet, so Thats why I did not notice a change. Thanks :)
