In the 3D view for Hammer, all the textures and entity sprites appear blurry (like Hl2 would on low settings). I know its not meant to happen and there is no way to change texture quality settings within Hammer.

RabidMonkey linked me to a site earlier where a guys having the same problem, the one reply he got said that if he turned anti-alaising and anistropic off it works, but thats only for Nvidia cards, im using a Radeon 9800 pro (is there a way to turn of aa and antistropics for Raedon cards (normally its set to application prefference and there is no off button).

This problem started happening after the large Hammer update not too long ago. I just reinstalled Steam too hoping it would fix the problem - it obviously didn't. I just cant get rid of this and its making lining up textures a real bitch! :x

Here's a pic of my nasty prob:

That's if its caused by the update, there's been a few minor updates since then happen to it.

i have the same thing. The update that brought the texture - shaded option to the camera view also detected system specs like HL2 does when you first run it...

Well, thats what it thinks is best for your less-than-perfect system.

Was'nt that caused by the -betasdk command?

it was? i didnt put that command into the launch options, for some reason it automatically launches in the beta sdk, anyway to disable the beta if its doing this?

Ok, this happened to me after I turned my monitors refresh rate to 85 hrtz, and set my video card display to Anti-aliasing 4x instead of application controlled. Try changing your card to app controlled, and lower refresh rate to 60 hrtz. It should fix it.

My monitor was already set to 60 Hz so i changed it up to its highest (85 Hz) I dont want to put 4x Anti-alaising on because i wont be able to play some games effeciently then... : ill try just to see if it fixes it though.

ED: i've had a play around with all the settings in ATI control panel and nothing seems to have worked... sigh why do i keep getting source problems...

I've got the problem too. I'm on a 6600GT. If I recall from the change list, VALVe states that AA in Hammer is turned off by default.
