well, im making a map (obviously) where i can't get my textures to work. On one side of a brush based entity (a func_door_rotating) im using a fifties texture of a wood door. i faced one side of it so the door handle is on the oppisite side of the origin brush. On the other side, however, hammer has both world and face selected. I cannot change the selection. Its just locked up or something... The same thing happened for a flag (based on a func_pendulum). PLZ HELP ME!!!

thx

One way around would be to remake that brush.

What do you mean by remake the brush? How would that help?

Delete it and create a new brush. That would reset the texture flags "to world" and "to face"

Well, there is a less painfull way..
Just set the texture scale to a negative instead of "1.00" put in "-1.00"

problem solved ;)

Me too... But I used the painful alignment tool. It also works (It?s "Align to view" in the texture applying menu) and though it?s difficult you can get some funny results (anyway, you can get the same results with easier methods).

also, for rocks its a good idea to select all the 'rock' brishes, go to the tex. app tool, it will all be blank, check the "Treat as one" and "To world" boxes, now set the scale, rotation to about 30 and align to top, then left, viola, perfect seamless rocks ;)
