To display them, type "r_speeds 1" in the console.

You'll get a FPS (Frames per second) and some numbers.

wpoly is the world poly count. This is all of the faces you make in the editor. A good amount is 800, try to keep it under 1000.

epoly is the poly count of the models and entities like monsters and weapons. These count unlike the wpoly and can be much higher, but not outrageous.

The are many ways to lower r_speeds and keep the detail good. But that is a whole other thing. :glad:

Ok, need help with this again.

I just tried using r_speeds 1 in console and it was continuously spitting them out IN CONSOLE and not on screen. WTF am I doing wrong?

K. A couple of things.

For Half-Life or CS or whatever, go to the steam launch window and right click over the game in question.

Click "Properties" and go to "launch options".

type: -dev <save>

Now when you try it again, it will show up in the game.

If you have a game like Sven Coop that doesn't launch from steam, you have to type--in console--every time:

developer 1 <enter>

and then "r_speeds 1 <enter> for it to work.

Thanx rowley I can see it in game know.

However, it still writes it in console. Is ther ea way to eliminate this or just always have to search through a big ass console if there is somnething specific I'm looking for?

Nutin' you can do about that I'm aware of ;)

You can use net_graph--type "net_graph 4" in the console, but it doesn't show wpolys nor epolys, only FPS and some other stuff...
