Hi everybody.

Im making a map (supprize ;)), and i really need some decent looking rising smoke.

I've searched here and googled for it aswel, but i cant really find a way to get env_smoker to work.

The way i understand it, it should work by making an env_smoker [strength = -1, smokescale = 1, name = smoke_1] and a trigger_auto [target = smoke_1, delay = 0.5, triggerstate = 1]

Nothings happening though...

I tried changing the scale, however that didnt make any difference. The delay which is set on the trigger_auto is there because its a good idea to wait for the entities to spawn according to VERC (i think that was where that was mentioned anyway)

I hope you ppl have a solution for me :D

Thanks in advance

Luke

Here's a tutorial that may give you an idea of how you can do smoke using sprites:

http://collective.valve-erc.com/index.php?doc=1046748015-97868500

It explains how to do steam coming out of pipes but the method should work fairly well for rising smoke as well.

This may also help:

He did some rising smoke in one of his demos, but I can't remember how he did it.
