Well i got cool edit 2000 so that I could put music into my maps. I opened up a song whith it, made cue points at the beginning and end of it, and saved it as a mono wav file. I than opened up the half life pack and whent into sound/ambience. I copied the new wav. sound file that I made and tryed to paste it into the unpaked polder but it wouldnt work and a message appeared saying "Error Copying C:SIERRAresurrectionwav: Invalid filename" Does anyone know what may have gone wrong? please help. Ive even taken sounds from a mod and some are pasteable into the folder but some arent...?

Are you saying you were trying to add it to the .PAK?

don't place it into the .pak, create a folder called sounds in your valve folder, the put it in there. This folder also needs to be included in a mini-mod if you uploaded your map. Its never a good idea to mess with the original .pak... trust me, i've learnt the hard way!!
