Hello all, I've been able to add some weapons into my map on the ground using the armory_entity, but there are no options to make it a pistol. Another mapper told me its not possible to add pistols on the gorund also, but half-life has them. Do I just need to modify my GDF? If so how?

You can't. Atleast I don't think so. CS just doesn't have the option. And there's no such a thing as a GDF. If you mean FGD, they really don't matter to the game itself seeing as how it doesn't change anything but hammer.

Your best bet is to make a game_player_equip and give the players guns at the start.

ZL is correct. You could also add a cycler_sprite, with the weapons w_pistolname.mdl--don't use the p_pistolname, or bad things will happen!--and env_render it away the model when the pistol is "picked up".

If I have time, I'll do an example map.
