Host_Error: PF_precache_model_I: 'sprites/rope.spr' Precache can only be done in spawn functions.

Gah. What i hate about trying new things in the mapping world, are the errors i come accross.

This one is especially strange.
I'll be playing my map, and (at no specific moment) suddenly it will crash back to the main menu. The previously mentioned error message appears in the console too, but appart from that, i see nothing wrong.

Compile log is flawless.

Edit:

Hmm, it only seems to happen after I trigger some monster_makers... but at no specific time after i have triggered them..

Sounds like a model is trying to precache itself AFTER the 'pre-cache time' is over...although I don't see the correlation between a monster-maker and a rope

What do you need to spawn the rope sprite for?

i never selected the rope sprite in anything. That is why i am so confused. If i had, i would know what i was dealing with, but as far as i know, nothing i have made should have anything to do with the rope sprite.

The only idea that i've come up with, is i placed a monstermaker that was set to spawn a human_grunt too far off the ground and its trying to make it a human_grunt_repel, but surely that's proposterous..

A human_grunt_repel uses rope.spr for the rope he comes down at.

exactly where my theory came from, but i never told it to spawn a human_grunt_repel

1. Spelled the sprite path correctly?

2. Sprite in correct folder?

3. How is being spawned in game? With a monstermaker?

4. You like Gladiator movies?
