well, i fixed the light_environment, but i have another problem. In a part of the map i have a thin block leaning against the wall, but it casts a shadow where it should not. There's a screenie of it here: http://fa.pas-com.net/images/stupidshadow.bmp. (sorry, didn't resize it so may take a few more seconds to see)

thanks

Don't be mad if you have already tried this (I didn't read your first forum concerning light_environment). Try simplye putting a light entity right near the shadow with the same light propertes as the rest of the map?

run rad with -extra.

Shadows like this seem to be a problem when you stretch textures above 1:1...
The grass texture has been stretched?
Anyway, SlayerA had this problem with MINIMICUS and I can't actually remember the fix.
Either turn your brush into a func_something, or fix the texture size.

the fix is:

-notexscale on rad ;)

i'll correct myself if i'm wrong when i get home ;)

I have look on the picture, and if I get this in a map I should try to lift up the wooden crates you have in the background, lift it 1unit from the floor and se whats happen.
:)
