nonono the clip brush works like a people fence u cant walk thru it but can shoot thru it trust me i know i got banged by awp at spawn when i test runned one of my maps with a block with the clip texture as a wall so you "wouldn't" be able to spawn kill eachother...
any other ideas ?

you could use a fence like texture, and make the wall a func_wall, and render mode solid. Then put fx_ammount to like 60 or something.

no no no.
Ok, awp pierces mostly anything. Try big-fat-ass func_walls with render transparent and amount 0.
Did you try making big-momma-size clip brushes? im not sure if shots go through them, never tested.

Oh, and a map with invisible floors and walls seems kind of...
Well boring ;).

the NULL texture acts as a barrier and can be seen through, as long as it doesn't block VIS. To stop any crappy CS wallshot nonsense, just put 2 seperate invisible walls with a gap of 1 unit between them. No weapon can penetrate this (even the guass in hl)

Yeah, clip wont work because the only thing that DOESNT go through it is you.

how do you make a wall that you can go through, but not see through?

I've seen this before and think its a great way to make secrets.
