You haven't fully understood what i meant.

The func_train part is ok, i know how to do that, but how are you gonna trigger the sound only when the player is hurt/killed?

Name the entity game_playerdie and it'll automatically be triggered when the player dies.

EDIT: Untrue, ye noob :D That will trigger the sound if the player dies. Not only if the player dies as a result of multiple waflle crush wounds.

Have the playerdie trigger go to a multisource that is enabled when the player approaches the waffles, then disables when the player leaves. Seems easy to me.

Hum, you mean:

Trigger to activate the multisource;
Multisource activates gameplayerdie sound
Multisource activates the func_trains
Multisource activates another multisource that deactivates the gameplayerdie sound

Right?

But how do you activate/deactivate a sound? I only know how to make it play...

Who needs such complex setups for something as simple as that?
All you need is a trigger_multiple in the waffle area, that has nothing in it's target field at first. Then, once the waffles are about to crush the player - use a trigger_changetarget to make the trigger trigger the sound.

OIFH coding progress

-Extra gore. Monsters can now be kersplodered with any weapon, provided that you finish them off with a strong blow. Corpses can be gibbed with any weapon too. Exploding bodies produce 2x more blood and 4x more gibs.

-Blood on weapons. I thought it'd go nice with extra gore, so now when you hit a monster - there's blood on the crowbar. More features with blood on weapons included.

More stuff in progress, won't announce it yet. ;)

-------Update to the OIFH crew------

I graduate next week, so I probably wont have the time to map or anything untill then, I gotta work my ass of this last two weeks so that my grades wont suck as much. Also, after that Im off to work with... Cows, but as I told Urb, I will still be working but I wont have as much access to the internet so the updates may only come with 10 to 22 days inbetween them.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT! ITS A DINOSAUR!...erm...UPDATE!!!

Not much to report on the mapping front other than "Its getting there slowly"

In other news there is now some really hawt new code for the crowbar thanks to daubster. I'd post some screens to show you what I'm on about but i think this is the kind of thing you need to see in motion so I'll post a video soon.

On the modelling front I've finally got MS3d to work again so I'm back at it!

You can join the team if you'd like, we have a whole lotta stuff that needs to be done, a whole lotta models. Many of them are pretty minor, some props and that kind of stuff. But we do need some new enemie models, some of them probably needs to be done pretty mich from scratch, and some of them only need a head-change and that kind of work.

You see, we have a plan of what we WANT to do, and that's fully possible to create. But the mod WILL work even if we don't get those custom models and all that. We haven't made any promises and we haven't given you a deadline! Basicly, we pretty much tell you about the work that we have done and not so much what we want to do!
That way you wont be disapointed if we are years behind the deadline and don't have all the stuff. We work for fun and not out of fear to be laughed at! :D

So the mod will come, with awesome custom stuff or not. Probably WITH all the custom stuff. We are dedicated nerds.
