Recently, being bored to death, I've done a google search for each of my MP maps. I found it pretty interesting to see how many people have actually uploaded them to some archive sites I've never heard of, added em' to their servers, made forum posts about them, etc.
Here's what I got:

awp_farmstead
Servers added to: 4
Decently played in: one server
Archive sites uploaded to: none

de_simc
Servers added to: 5
Decently played in: none/one(?)
Archive sites uploaded to: none

cs_tube_assault
Servers added to: 2
Decently played in: none
Archive sites uploaded to: one

So if you're interested - google for your MP maps (mod doesn't matter), post the results and maybe we'll find out, whose creations (remakes don't count. seriously.) are the most popular amongst game servers/players, etc?

The only real MP map that has a lot of hits is de_Boshi for me. But on a related note searching Habboi brings up random Gmod sex poses...

When I searched for my sp_justice (single-player), I found that gamers from all over the world had played and reviewed it. There were Italian sites that feature the map, as well as Japanese reviews.

It's interesting to see the HL2 HUD displayed in Japanese characters:

Like there is a thread on some forum but the topic is invalid, search brings up nothing and the forum appears to have nothing to do with HL2 :S

I can't keep track of my maps, but I know "Kaufmann House" shows up in more non-mapping sites than actual mapping sites
Must've been the lack of spawn points!

The good thing about mapping for a popular mod is stacks of people play your map.

dys_detonate has clocked almost 200 hours of player time since last time stats were reset. I must say, I'm rather pleased. Makes all the hard work worthwhile...

Why don't you stop making smartass comments? If you stop, you might find time to map Venetia, which no one is going to play anyway.

only one i can find is dm_poisongarden.

Apparently it was popular for a while on 1 server and had 21 games played on it.

But the only reason that happened was because someone made a CS version of it.

oh dear.

dm_stranded & cs_terrorhouse3 have done ok for themselves according to google.

don't know, i heard you can easily change the entities in a BSP viewer to work for CS without decompiling or recompiling.

Hmmm, I was actually quite amazed by what I just found.

There are servers out there running the utterly terrible maps I made years ago.

The one (rather mediocre) HL2 SP map I released is nowhere to be found, and when I google my name I get things about a German body builder named Gunter Schlierkamp. So, yeah, nothing really great here :P.

The only place I upload my maps is my clans ftp. I should submit them here at least...

Is there any certain site that'll get a lot of attention for interweb play?
Like here at TWHL we adore high quality maps and im sure other people love them as well but i never see any of them in rotation.

If you want your CS map played on, or at least added to servers - you gotta upload it fo Fpsbanana. I know, I know, the sites' filled with noobs, immature fuckwits, and your map may get the occasional flaming for not having duts textures, though believe it or not - all of the forum posts, that suggested adding my maps to some server linked to Fpsb.
