Simply, how do we find the coordinates in a map. I used to know how to find it or probably found the previous error with a bit of luck. But it doesnt work anymore...

After I got this error:
Malformed face (20344) normal @
(1432.00, -2178.00, 2136.00)
(1432.00, -2178.00, 2144.00)
(1438.81, -2178.00, 2144.00)
Error: Malformed face normal

I tried to find it with coordinates but I dont think I was doing it right, because I couldnt find it. So how do we go to exact coordinates in VHE? I'm using 3.4 btw.

For me it always gives the brush number when I get that error, so I never really needed to know this... although I did at one point. :

If you have the brush number, you can go directly to the brush by going to Map > Go to brush.

There's an option in one of the Hammer menus where you can enter coordinates and it will take you to them.

I believe it's called "Go to Coordinates"

:)

I believe Source has that, I dont map for source so I'm not really certain.
But there isn't any "Go to Coordinates" option. I only know "Go to Brush Number" option which is located in map. Perhaps if you can tell me in which menu it is located?

Oh right sorry.

I need to stop coming into threads from the front page!

I don't remember if 3.4 or 3.5 have the option.

Hammer 3.4 and 3.5 don't have a "go to coordinates" option.
The way to find the error is to do it manually, using the mouse cursor in the top 2D screen.
