i need some ideas for my op4 mod intro.
well, i want your opinion. should the player start in an Osprey? in an APC? truck? should they be ambushed? shot down? anything along them lines really.

How about rappelling from an Osprey instead of getting shot down, like in OP4?

Parachutting out would be more exciting imo, and it was done in the Goldsource engine. Don't remember the mod though, but I do remember that you jumped out of a helicopter and activated your chute. I'm sure someone here would remember it. It's a multiplayer game.

Wasn't firearms was it?

But you can cheat it really..
when you jump out, just make a giant func_push to counteract gravity a bit.
slow your decent.

Firearms had parachutes. I miss that mod <3

For a parachute, make a camera follow a track along with going down. To make it look like your on a parachute, make the camera look up 1 or 2 times at a, either model of a parachute or a brush. Then once the camera reaches the ground, teleport the player.

I'd make an example map, but hell....

yeah, i like that idea. ill have the player in a plane, parachute down
....
then after that...... dont know.
btw, how do you delay a teleport, Delay Before Trigger doesnt work for them.
