This shall be of three points:
1: Everyone has to stop sniping at each other. If you keep on kicking up shit, you'll get covered with it.
2: It's rather dissapointing that the map vault only gets 1-2 entries a week, and these maps are first-timer's maps. It's be nice for members to start making some quality (short) single player levels. (Multiplayer servers lag due the distance between the US & AUS, and whole mods take epic amounts of effort to bring to completion). I'm going to start fixing up and extending my only map.
3. We need a permanent thread for meme pictures. I lost count of the number of threads hijacked by spammed cat pictures.
I thought this site was about Half-Life editing.

We are a small community dispite the number of members. The reason the map vault is full of newcomer work rather than that of the pros is this.
Newbies post their maps. They get grilled by the pros. They go away and improve their maps. This takes time.
Note your own map vault entries. All 2 of them. One was a blocky, prefab infested SP map the other seems to be an upside-down hall. Wow, good to see your contributing to the vault. You kind of shot yourself in the foot there huh?
This site generally serves those who release single maps and those who need help with hammer and such. If you want released maps / mods try ModDB. Thats where all my finished projects will be going.

I must say that I agree with Dave on the first point, sometimes people are just asking for a put down of some kind, but most TWHLers would do well to act a little more civil.
As for the second point, I agree with urb. TWHL isn't the place to be if you want maps from the pros, though not with saying you should go to MODDB for good maps or good mappers. MODDB is a modding site, not a mapping site. Therefore you won't find HL2 DM levels, or CS:S levels, or short HL2 SP levels on MODDB.
