Anwway.. for mario fans there's a mario kart source mod here: www.mks-mod.com. Check out some of the screenshot, it's coming along great.

Even better, if you pay them $5, you can be in the "Pit Crew" and get access to private media releases AND you get access to the internal beta! There's only like 10 pit crew members, including myself.

Ah I recently saw a video of this. The mod is really looking similar now. I hope it will have the race maps as well such as the desert train map or the island beach.

The mod doesn't look too swish, if you ask me. The maps, models and textures all look either bland or inacurate. It is possible to bring Mario themed games up visually (just look a SSBB).

Agreed. I've been watching this mod for a while. Source is completely the wrong engine to do this on. No way I'm paying 5 bucks either.

It looks comical, but that's Mario games for ya..
It's not a mod i'm looking forward to, or a mod I am impressed about, so I won't follow its progress, but I most certainly give it a shot when it gets released......if it gets released.
