Ive been trying to make a completly round cicle but I can seem to come up with the right formula.. :

Can sombody tell me some sort of ratio for it...

You've picked the wrong game for round circles! You can make things "look" round by having many sides and using proper compile techniques, but the only round circles you will find are models or lasers. Search the forum for "circle" or "sphere" and you will see.

32 Sides is max - no more

and to get a perfect circle in a game is mathematically impossible

no PC in the world is capable of working out "py" on the fly - you can get something that looks close enough .. but nothing exact..

Yarn: You mean spheres right?

pie x radius gets a good circle

You probably won't be able to compile with more than 28.

nooo...I know I wont get a complete circle... I just whant to get one that looks round.

But I cant seem to put them together evenly, therfore I need a ratio for a circle, preferably 32 sided (One of the them was used in the sites tutorial map so I would think it could be compiled..)

You must be doing things the hard way... use the arch tool, # of sides = 32, arc = 360, wall thickness = whatever you want. For a solid circle wall thickness = diameter/2. Hope this helps!

Are you just asking how to create cylinders? I think people're getting over-thinky.

there is no ratio, just as said make a cylinder of x number of sides. Anything more is impossible within the engine constraints of half-life, or for that matter any polygon based game. (the definition of a polygon being a single planar shape that forms between a set of points)

Actually I used the cylinder, since it made it hollow and I whant it to have an inside.

Thnx for your help.

Hollowing a cylinder is ok if you don't have to shape it at all, but the arch tool automatically miters the corners to make VM, scaling, and clipping easier.
...my two cents

don't carve or hollow a cylinder... please

Use a model.
