so ive been mapping for a good 3 months and im getting the hang of it.

but a month ago i lost my Func_ entities!!!

i have my env_ and other entities are still there but Func_ entitis are missing!!

and when download a example map that has a Func_ on it it just erases all my entities!! And i have to reinstall worldcraft to get the entities back but my Func_ entities are stilll missing

yeah can someone help?

Ok, first of all, what game and/or mod are you mapping for?
Note that func_ entities are only used for brushes.

im mapping for half life (steam version)

and yes i know they are for brushes mainly

I know the problem I think. Use Hammer 3.5 Beta instead of worldcraft.

It's much more feature loaded and stable <3.

that dosent work either i tried the beta this morning and the same problem exists

Your FGD file is screwed. Search for and download a new version.

If your FDG is just messed up, and you're mapping for vanilla Half-Life, download and use this ->>

i tried 3 fgds and reafers fgd and it still wont work.

im beginning to believe that its my computer that causes the prob

It sounds like you're missing a small step in setting it up correctly. Hammer is a pain to set up and if you're like me, while setting it up you are so eager to get mapping you may have missed something. Just go over everything one more time I guess is what I'm trying to suggest.

but Func_ is still missing.

i found a solution to make the func_ work.

it still not on the entity list but i trick my computer to expose the funcs

Before installing Hammer 3.5 beta you need Hammer 3.4.
