Hi ! I;m working on my sven coop campaign , and as I expected , I'm experiencing some problems . one of these problems would be the path tool . I have to use it because I'm building long tunnels , with a lot of curves , and I can't use the path_track entity .
My problem is more of a question : Can I render the points appearing when creating paths with the path tool in the 3D view ? I'm going to explain why I need such a thing .

I built tunnels in the first level , too , but they weren't elevated . Now they are , in the second map . And the tunnel is very symmetrical that the path points lap each other and I can't distinguish between them .

A screenshot will tell you all :

I must somehow make the path of the train with the path tool . It's too hard to make one by one path_tracks .

Lol do you how much work I have with the path_tracks ? I used the path tool in the previous map and it didn't have any errors .

Since the inner paths are all congruent (as well the all the outer paths), make ONE complete circuit for each, and then clone/drag the whole thing down. (you'll have to go through each one in the 3d view, and rename the path names obv)

I've never been able to get the path tool to work, but i haven't tried in a very long time...

I don't know where I heard it but the day I opened Hammer 2.1 for the first time ever back in 1999 I knew not to use the path tool. Don't know why, but I never did anyway.

It would be so much easier to use path_tracks, seriously.

whatever :P

[EDIT -Next day] wow , I set the speed of the train at 280 . You already saw the track and the tunnel in the screenshots . well , the time taken to travel through all that tunnel , at 280 u\s ( units per second , I believe that's the speed in hl ... :\ ) is 1 minute 28 sec . That's enough ( the tunnel is empty yet ) considering that it will be full with monsters . Or something else :D .

[EDIT - again :D ] Observe the similarity between the speed and the time :) :) . I calculated the time using my cellphone .
