I really, really want to learn modeling, i have the time and everything but i don't know any good sources on tutorials, I need really really basic tuts. Anyone know any sites where they are?

Download edmax or XSI Mod tool, I would download this last one because is free and is the tool Valve used to model HL2. It has some tutorials on the official website: http://www.softimage.com/products/modtool/

Don't just launch straight into modelling for Source. Start modelling for the heck of it, learn about the techniques and processes (it's different to mapping). Then work at getting into Source.

There are a few modelling tutorials scattered around the Internet. Pick a modelling program first and go with it.

Correct Ant is Correct. Familiarize yourself with tools and functions that will help you accomplish the kinds of geometry you want to make.

yea, which reminds moi, the class was learning how to texture things today.. boring, while they where learning, I was doing.. and finished with this, not the greatest, but good for the amount of time I spent on it:
