Umm....I tried out making sprites for my level then I came up a tool called "Easy Sprite Maker" (I hope some of you are familiar with this). Then when I create sprites I saw a drop-down menu showing the different types of the sprites ( it's not the additive,alpha,etc.).

Here are the types :

-VP_PARALELL
-vP_PARALELL_UPRIGHT
-FACING_UPRIGHT
-ORIENTED
-VP_PARALELL_ORIENTED

What I only know about this is their orientation. The problem is that i DONT know how the types orient the sprites.

PLease Help Me :)

Sprite Explorer says:

Describes how sprites are oriented in the world. It is only partially implemented feature, and Half-Life does not fully respond in all video modes to any adjustment of orientation. Use VP_PARALLEL for consistent results in the engine.

So go for VP_PARALLEL.

what if he wants the sprite fixed on an axis?

just experiment a bit, I remember when I had to find out which one I needed, wasn't hard to figure out.

Env_beam is used to lock sprites on an axis.
