Everyone who uses spirit knows you can get monsters to show up in multiplayer, but does anyone know if you can set up a client-side map change, in MMO style? eg. you begin in a building, and load a new map when you leave, but other players stay in the building. I know transitions are possible, thanks to sven coop, but is there a non-coding way to do it client-side? thanks in advance.

Um, i don't think so. That requires server coding, Spirit does not support it that i am aware of...

You meen like in NS? or the way chicken-fist added a lobby in SP mode of his FL mod? im afrade both of them use coding, but you might aswell just add a lobby room to your map with weapon strips in this lobby room and then a teleport that teleports you into the map. or you could also put lots of teleporters in this room and then add a trigger_changelevel to all of them so that when the player enters it his client triggers level change for himself.

Hmmm. Im not sure that would work... I have also found 1.7's trigger_changelevel doesnt work with its "Use only" flag. and as I have no coding compilers or experience, I guess the server will have to just load the maps like in any other MP mod... so connecting them is out. Thanks anyways guys.

aw, well if you ever need this again, maybe try asking chicken fist on how he did this in his mod.
