I need a modeller to convert these items into a .mdl file (preferrably both models as one if possible). The rivet-like texture are holes, if you can make it. If not, a simple rivet texture will do.

The url is: http://www.twhl.co.za/vault.php?map=5176

Thank you. :)

When you say you want this converted to a .mdl file, are you talking about, as in the "3D GameStudio" .mdl model format?

do you really need that table and chair specifically or would you settle for something like this...

because yes. Max can import the dxf from hammer, but its ugly. very ugly. It'd be better to start over.

Not to be mean or anything, but why do you need those as models?

I was also going to say that the .rmf file can be opened up by Crafty, then export it to the .obj format. I am sure most good 3D modeling apps out there can import the .obj format. Now, unless you are looking for something low poly, then I would go with what Rimrook is offering.

agreed they would be relatively easy to build as world models, BUT they would look substantially better as regular models imo. (i would use world models because i'm lazy and i can't skin, but i'm just saying)

I just need it the way you that when you put a cycler_sprite entity to insert a model. So, more or less like the default half-life models.

I'm creating a map of a school and because there are many tables and chairs in the school, it's really slowing down the compiling, and the file size goes way too large.

I can do with Rimrook's design but can you try to make the colours just like in my .rmf file?

Thank you everyone :)

figured you'd need dozens of them. although you can optimize a brush-based version a bit by making a room of them a single func_illusionary then use the clip or null brush to make much simpler hulls for them.

cyclers are bugged. if you have a cycler with the tables model then the models will getbugged and youll be able to go trough parts of them. do that rimrook said.

Well then, how do I insert a model in hl if not using cyclers ?!
It's only a small problem i've detected : if you shoot the cycler it bleeds .If you shoot the cycler and the model has animations , it will cycle between animations(for example there's a skeleton model in hl, if you put that as a cycler in hl and shoot it , tho skeleton will rise and sit on his bone ass !)

Well, I can put some clip brushes to prevent that from happening.

But problem is, can anybody please build the model for me?

Thank you.

I made the model and sent him a PM, but I don't think he'll check back to even get it!
Well... no good deed shall go unpunished.

Here's a fucking desk model.

and they fit the original color and texture scheme, as requested. As well, I included a chair only, desk only, a chair tipped over, and a desk tipped over (and can be used for cover ;))

In total, 5 models. Enjoi!
