Yet another HL2 inspired live-action film.

If HL2 ever becomes a movie, the studio that does it better not fuck it up :/

If they fucked it up, it could ruin the reputation of the game for anyone who hasn't played it... and some who have.

It'll never happen. Valve will never give permission for a Half-Life movie to be made.

Valve will never give permission for a Half-Life movie to be made.
This is historical fact.

I am not so worried. Valve consists of a group of very smart people. They know better than giving the rights to a Hollywood studio and have them screw up a perfectly good game.

Those Doom producers sure are brilliant. They take a great series, produce a mediocre game - and then of all things give the movie rights to Uwe Boll.

What if it was all in CG? and Valve wrote the entire script?

They don't have the time to. But it would be great. I'd buy the DVD.

Who knows if there working on it jeff? The Portal writer could have been put on it. And as far as i know the working conditions at valve are far above ideal.

Everyone.
The portal writer is writing Portal 2 & they've stated matter-of-factly that there will never be a HL film

Someone could always do a ripoff of it and change everything just enough to escape copyright and trademark problems. The headcrabs woulod be the same, but covered with green fur, and instead of a crowbar, the main character(Grover Friedman), would wield a curved piece of rebar, or a pepperoni stick...

How would they make a CS movie? It would be harder to pull of properly than a TF2 movie. Hey... TF2: The movie... That could be a good idea.

That. Plus the TF2 sounds every so often.

Still, interesting stuff.

The combine were god awful, but the editing was superb.

Edit: Counter Strike the TV show. Nothing to do with the game, though.
