Here's the deal.

A big gaming community asked me to make one of those "huge and great" maps that will have alot of people playing it. We even have sponsors behind us so if any of you would be intrested it will have money in it. ($$$!!!)

Because you see the problem is that I have never made textures, so I ain't good at it. However, i'm one hell of a mapmaker, so don't be shy not speaking up about this. We need a texturecreator for our map. I've been working with the map for 5 weeks, and is being tested elite teams for the perfect balance and gameplay.

I can't really tell much about the map more than that since it's something of secret (sscchh!),(til you join us). The map is a inspired by cs_italy, de_inferno, de_dust2. And is set a location similar to inferno and italy. But i guess textures can pretty much change that.

For more information, please contact me at this twhl account.

Please make your work(s) public. YOU need people, people dont need YOU. So if you dont show any information to the public, people wont even make the move to contact you and type something. Think about that.

To help you out, respond to this:
  • Whats this "big" gaming community? Gotfrag? I mean .. ts big
  • Who are your sponsors? They sponsor you, so you can tell it.
  • Got any portfolio of reverence about your hell of a mapping work?

Ya, asking for people to help you in a project without any proof that you are on the level is a bad idea. Just so you know.
EDIT: It never hurts using the default textures if you know how to use them well.

To be honest, your post sounds like it's been taken out of some spam email promising $$$ WITH MINIMAL EFFORTS, etc. (minus the engrish & caps).
This is of course not the case, however, you really can't expect people to jump aboard some random project without knowing what it's all about. Stating you're "one hell of a mapper" doesn't help either when your FPSbanana profile(?) shows no submissions or activity. Google doesn't give any evidence of your mapping experience either, which kind of baffles me. After all, wouldn't any sponsor actually find himself a hell of a mapper with something to show?

Anyway, I'm probably misjudging you, however unless you post some of your previous work, give info on who's sponsoring you or what you're working on (a CS map project kept in secret? what could be that important?), I wouldn't expect anyone to help you out.

And yet you have 0 FPS bananna points and no files? Seriously, Noone's going to beleive any of this untill you give us some concrete evidence. Sorry.

Post pictures! Then people may consider helping you.

Also, flashing the cash never works. You're more likely going to get someone who does a rush job in order to grab the money and run. If you gain peoples interest then you will more than likely be contacted by genuine individuals who actually WANT the project to work out.

This has happened before and the prick was pretty much chased off the site. It surfaced later that he had paid a ridiculous amount of money for some guy to do about an hours worth of work.

My only hope is that the current economic climate dragged him under and that he is now either dead or homeless.

Overall its the evidence. Post media and previous work. People don't like to take time out of their lives to work on something that may not see the light of day.
