Post your city's Wikipedia entry in this thread.

I live in Long Beach, California.

And I had no idea that I am living on top of the richest oil field in the world.

Who knew.

@satchmo: isn't it also the richest chick field in the world? :P

@SM: in my life I only had two English teachers that appeared to actually know any English. The hot one moved to Charlotte in 2003. I was disappointed.

Culemborg, Netherlands

It received city rights in 1315. How's that, old enough? :P
In 1995, Culemborg was one of the cities which was temporarily evacuated because of the risk of flooding.
Yeah, that sucked. :/ I know all about it.
On New Year's Eve 2009/2010 longer existing tensions between Dutch-Moroccan and Dutch-Moluccan youth culminated in violent race riots in the district of Terweijde.
Good thing i don't live anywhere near where that happend.

"In 2009 Chandler was ranked as one of the most boring cities in America by Forbes"

That is not a lie, watching a pile of shit melt on a rock is more entertaining then this place.

"Chandler has three In-N-Out Burger Restaurants and is home of the Heart Attack Grill."
the heart attack grill is right up the road, i can ride my bike to it.

no disco, no, the heart attack grill is very adult, has women in skanky outfits, then stand on tables, and have mannequins on tables dressed all skanky. there burgers are supposedly the most unhealthy piece of meat you can eat. it used to be a burger king, they parked an old ambulance in the drive thru. like i said, skanks http://www.blogiversity.org/blogs/cstanton/HAG18.jpg they don't even look good.

In about 2-3 years I will be living for some time in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It's a very old cultural city.

I actually live in a village "Suncuius" that has very low information on Wikipedia(not worth linking it). It's an intense touristic zone with very beautiful landscapes. We have here the longest cave in Romania( 52 km)- Wind's cave(there's a strong cold wind coming out of it). From what I know, it's possibly the 2nd longest cave in Europe, if not the 1st.
I have some videos on youtube that were school projects, videos with some landscapes from around here.
Enjoy:
1. Some landscape, ignore the text.
2. Teh' "big" Flood
3. French project about pollution. Start at 0:30. Ignore my french, just watch what tourists are doing... and some local people too. Filmed during early spring.
4.The Thunderstorm, with the thunder that scared the shit out of me. You probably watched this...

I'm actually love the landscapes in summer around here. Wait till' I get my Nikon, I'll spam video and photo content about the zone .

all but 244 of the city's population live either in Kalgoorlie or in Boulder.

Yeah, we're fairly close, but it's still a pretty long drive, especially with a three-year-old in the car.

I think most people know that my "Justice" map is based on the Santa Barbara Courthouse. I got the blue print from the city architect when I was visiting there, so the map was pretty to scale.
