I've been working on a few random ones myself. Kinda expecting a small handful of people to not be able to enter. I have ideas for 4 maps laid out and about 40% of the first map complete. I tend to go overboard with fancy entity setups.... So that always takes a while.

Yeah, I've watched Madoka. Thoroughly enjoyed it - it's a great story, and well presented. Episode 3 was important to the plot, and a bit unexpected.
I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new anime to watch. (Except maybe Dimbark, due to the content of the show containing language and violins. Also violence.)
On topic: Yeah, not much time left. Let's all get it done quickly. If it doesn't work, re-purpose it. No shame in cutting something for later use in another map.

I have a question. Does the map need to exhibit some kind of story or... it must necessarily include gameplay, or just a random showcase of architecture?
Because I could have a plot for the map but... in that case I don't know if I can deliver by 17 ( please let it be 18 :P).

The next few days, I should have lots of time I can and will dedicate to mapping for this. I'll try to make it look pretty where I can, but that really won't be the focus of the map.

So how are you releasing them?
How about making a new "Santa" account that can be used again next year, releasing them maybe a week before xmas then letting people guess until the authors are revealed at new years' or something?

I'm close to getting mine done, but I may need to hold off submitting for a few days after the deadline. I've just gone on holidays from work so I'll pour lots of time into it.

My hammer wont function... The default program to open RMF is set to 7zip file manager, and i cant change it :@
God damn windows 7...

Bah, gotta re-record some of my lines for mine. It's going great, hope I finish by Friday, I think I get out early the next 3 days, not sure. I hope my SS receiver likes it, its not an amazing over the top Micheal Bay adventure, but I put my best into it

you shouldn't stress too much about worrying if your entry will work on someone else's machine afaik, long as you wad included your textures. (you're using compilator, right?)
If you really worried you can run resgen to give you a list of everything in your map to help check things.

So close... got heaps done today, but there is still more cleanup to do and I'm worried I'm chucking things in too quickly and not polishing but rather just hrowing stuff in the mix...hope it comes out clean in the end.
