my shake works fine...but its completely silent. i want it to make some noises..like crashing rock or strained metal. how do i get this?

Use PakScape (it is on my site!) to browse through pak0. Listen to some sounds and pick one that you like! Then, in hammer, put an ambient_generic in and put ambient/yoursoundhere.wav in the wav field. Then play about with the rest of the settings until you are happy! You might want to use a multimanager so you can trigger them with easy managment. Read the tutorial on info for multimanagers.
