Map TWHL
Hi! Have you ever wondered what TWHL would look like mapped? Well now you can, in this mini-competiton. Interpret "mapping TWHL" in any way you see fit. Be creative, and you can build your map for any HL/HL2 game or mod.

Ideas
You could do it like Archie did, making TWHL's corporate headquarters, Or Rim's virtual reality TWHL Tribute map, or any other way you can think of!

Prizes
Gold - $15 steam games +EXCLUSIVE Shiny gold trophy icon.
Silver - $10 steam games +EXCLUSIVE Shiny silver trophy icon.
bronze - $5 steam games +EXCLUSIVE Shiny bronze trophy icon.

All participants receive an EXCLUSIVE participation medal for your profile as well(yipee!)

Deadline
When 10 people post an entry, the competition is closed. (within a reasonable amount of time, then i'll just call it, and start the judging)

Gonna jump on this one as soon as I can. I love me some minicompo. I've got a good idea in mind too.

I'd prefer to use Spirit though to make use of prop models and custom skins so can I submit a mini mod?

I can see it now, urby is scripting an all-singing, all-dancing cabaret out of the HL NPCs. (but really anyone scripting NPCs to sing and dance will recieve major bonus points)

In light of the lukewarm reception(i thought cash prizes would entice people to map?), i'm imposing a new rule that a minimum of 5 entries need to be submitted to make this contest valid.

If in a reasonable amount of time, say a couple weeks goes by and there isn't at least 5 entries/WIPs in the thread, the minicompo will be cancelled. (NEXT TIME i will ask if people like the idea before moving forward)

I'll keep working on mine, simply because when I'm done I'm going to rework it a little and then use it in The Core.

team mapping and i'm sure some others need to be added there as well, but this one is probably dead anyway mr. crafter. (if we could edit our own posts on this site, it wouldn't be an issue, but now we need to bug the mods, and they sleep most of the day)

i added ambience to every room, mostly after complaints from u and striker about the lack of ambience in my maps

Personally i wouldn't waste your time, unless you kinda wanted to make the map anyway. lots of people are intrersted but nobody is mapping for it except urby, and the contest is invalid unless a minimum of 5 entries are recieved(read above).

It's not so much that I wouldn't be getting a prize.

More that a mapping community, when asked to make a map, based on the community, shows very little interest.

yes, but you have to agree it's a pretty abstract idea, but yeah i'm as well a little bummed more people didn't jump on too.

The Steam Workshop might kill compos here entirely, depends on if it takes off(which it probably will, especially if they monetize content).

JeffMOD is correct with "Dimbark". He already said it himself and ruined the game (but you can also see the door in the previous shot I posted) but as mentioned in the rules, his room is done so he gets no deluxe office.
